In a world often saturated with "breaking news" that leaves us weary, we crave words that carry weight, truth, and life. This Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 18), First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg will embark on a new worship series titled "Tell Me Something Good."
Human beings need hope, but real hope that isn't hollow. In this series, we will explore the depths of our faith to find the "Good News" that is bigger than the troubles of the world. We often think about Lent as a season of self-reflection and "pruning," but that limits it. Lent is also a season of listening—listening for the voice of God that speaks truth to power and grace to the brokenhearted. So this Lent, let’s see if we can find something good. Not something easy. Not something hollow. A message of good news. Join us as we go on this journey!
