Over the summer, First Presbyterian Church is exploring how belief and praise come together—how the words we confess in faith shape the way we worship and live.

Our series, Putting It Together: Belief and Praise, invites us into a dialogue between two enduring voices of the church: the Reformed confessions and creeds, and the psalms of Scripture. The creeds remind us what the church has believed through time. The psalms remind us how the people of God have sung, wept, and rejoiced across generations. When we hold them together, something powerful happens: worship becomes deeper, and belief becomes more grounded.

Each week, we’ll reflect on either a confession of the church or a psalm of praise. Some weeks will challenge us with theological clarity; others will lift us in poetic prayer. Together, they offer a rhythm of rooted faith and living worship—pointing us toward a God who is still speaking, still reforming, still drawing us together.
