The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, December 16 following worship (around 11:05 a.m.). The purpose of this meeting is to vote on the pastor’s terms of call for 2026, to elect members of the 2028 class of the Nominating Committee, and to fill open Session and Deacon vacancies.
In the Reformed tradition, the life of the church is shared by pastors and members together. The Presbyterian Church is rooted in the belief that Christ alone is the Head of the Church, and that the Holy Spirit works through the whole body — not just the clergy. Congregational meetings are one of the primary ways we live out that belief.
At these meetings, members vote on matters that shape the church’s leadership and stewardship. Approving the pastor’s terms of call is an act of covenant — an expression of shared trust between congregation and pastor. Electing officers and nominating committee members ensures that leadership remains representative, prayerful, and responsive to the Spirit’s leading.
Your participation is not just in a meeting, but for the unity of the church. We hope you plan to stay for this brief but important meeting as we continue the work God has called us to do together.
