This Advent season, we’re hearing a familiar invitation in a new way: Come Home for Christmas.

In a world that often feels scattered and restless, God is calling us back — back to promise, to peace, to joy, to love. Through the poetry of Isaiah and the story of Christ’s birth, we’ll discover again that home isn’t so much a place as it is a Presence. God comes to make a home among us in Jesus Christ, and we are invited to make our home in Him.

Each Sunday in Advent will focus on a different aspect of that homecoming journey:

First Sunday of Advent - November 30
Coming Home to Hope - Luke 1:26–38
bring Christmas tree ornaments and help with trimming the trees!

Second Sunday of Advent - December 7
Coming Home to Peace - Luke 2:1-7
with Holy Communion

Third Sunday of Advent - December 14
Coming Home to Joy - Luke 1:39-56

Fourth Sunday of Advent - December 21
Coming Home to Love - Matthew 1:18-25

Christmas Eve - December 24, 4:00pm
Welcome Home - Luke 2:1-20 & John 1:1-14

Our sanctuary will reflect this theme each week as light, warmth, and beauty grow toward the celebration of Christ’s birth. Through familiar carols, candlelight, and Scripture, we’ll prepare room in our hearts for the One who has come to dwell among us.

Whether you’ve been away for a while or you’re here every week, there’s a place for you this Christmas. Come as you are. Bring your questions, your stories, your hopes. Come home to God’s welcome. Come Home for Christmas.

Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in the sanctuary and online at fpcgalesburg.orgOur Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held on Wednedsday, December 24 at 4:00pm
