"Advent Defined" | Nativity Art Night

Trinity Lutheran and First Presbyterian Churches are partnering with Art: Defined, Galesburg's local ceramics studio, for a nativity art night on Nov. 5 from 5-7pm at First Presbyterian Church.

"Nativity Art Night?" you ask?   Like last year, we will glaze nativity pieces so that over several years participants will have a full, hand glazed, nativity set!  Art is always more fun with friends and food, so all are encouraged to invite their friends and bring a snack to share.  The churches will provide plates, utensils, and drinks.

This is our third year so there are three options for all participants. We started these annual nativity nights in 2023 with Mary, Jesus & Joseph. Last year we did the wisemen and this year we add the animals: a donkey, sheep & camel. This year we have pre-ordered the ceramic sets and have limited supplies of each set. We will accept registrations until noon on Tuesday, Nov. 4 online.

Those glazing for the first time, we recommend starting with a Mary, Joseph and Jesus set.  The second set is wisemen and the third set is animals: donkey, camel and sheep.  We ask that each person would order one set this year (you can ask the office to be on a waiting list for additional set)

Printed registration forms are available at First Presbyterian & Trinity Lutheran churches and, whether you register online at your church, you may pay for nativities with no processing fees by turning in cash or check at First Pres. or Trinity Lutheran.  You may also register and/or pay online If you prefer.  The cost is $45.00 per nativity set (plus online processing fees if paying online).
