On Sunday, February 22, First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg marks a milestone: our 189th Anniversary.

As we enter the first Sunday of Lent and begin our new series, "Tell Me Something Good," we find that much of the "goodness" we share today is rooted in the legacy of those who came before us. This is a day to honor our history, celebrate our present, and look forward to where God’s uncontainable light is leading us next.

Join us for a full morning of reflection and celebration:

  • 9:00 AM | Bonus History Class with Harry Bulkeley

    • Dive into the stories that shaped our congregation. Harry Bulkeley will lead a special 30-minute session exploring the key moments and figures of our 189-year journey in Galesburg.

  • 9:30 AM | Fellowship & Conversation

    • Gather in the fellowship hall for coffee and conversation before we transition to worship.

  • 10:00 AM | Anniversary & Lenten Worship

    • A special service celebrating our legacy while grounding ourselves in the Lenten journey. We will explore what it means to carry the "Good News" into a new generation.

  • 11:00 AM | Cake & Celebration

    • What is an anniversary without cake? Join us immediately following worship to celebrate our church family with treats and fellowship.

Whether you have been a part of this church for fifty years or fifteen minutes, you are part of the "Something Good" God is doing in Galesburg. Come celebrate with us!
